I am seeing incidents of dog attacks around me and on the Internet.
It is time we talk about it. Remember.
DOGS are nice, BUT dogs are DOGS.
I love dogs, as they deserve to be loved. Dogs are not humans.
Dog lives are less important than human lives.
That being said, let's move to the meat of this article.
We will break up dog attacks in two categories.
- Outdoor attacks which include attacks on a morning walk, or anytime when you are outdoors.
- Indoor attacks that are incase you have a pet dog.
Outdoor attacks - First of all you need to be aware of the type of place you are visiting. Will there be many dogs/what type of dogs/street dogs/pet dogs/pit bulls/other dangerous dog breeds?
Then based on that, either carry a strong stick with you or a pocket knife if possible. Remember it is expected that you are strong and average built.
Your first goal is to not do anything stupid around dogs, don't try to pet them, don't try to make an eye contact, don't roam around if they are eating, Don't go close to their puppies. These situations have the highest chance of them attacking you.
Even if things go south, do not let them attack your neck in any scenario. maintain distance and never run. If they see you turn your back towards them, they will charge at you.
Use your stick or knife to neutralise it in case things go worse.
Always try to get out of the situation asap, without running.
Indoor attacks - Rule one is to not get dangerous dog breeds if you are going to keep their inside your house.
Rule two is to not get working breeds if you don't have a large land for them to play and time to play with them.
Rule 3 is to maintain frame with your dog. There is no need of loving it like a woman. Any dog will overpower you if you let it.
Alpha breeds of dogs are true test of men's masculinity. If you break the rules yourself. the dog will never listen to your words.
Always keep a pocket knife at a place where you can reach it quickly. Sticks are almost useless indoors.
Bonus Rules with Dogs:
Dogs are good to have just not inside your house. Give them their own dog house and an open area to mark territory and play inside.
Dogs are not kids. They are pets at best.
Dogs are nice, but dogs are dogs.
